Why Do Things Have to Be Hard?

I am writing this blog more to myself moreso than to my readers....but since we are all reflections of one another, I am sure that this may come in handy to you all as well.

I am transitioning in life.  Yes, life is actually just 1 big transition, but there are times when you feel and overstand the transitioning moreso than at other times.  Right now I am transitioning, the time I have waited for is here.  And the truth is that transition is fun to imagine, but in reality can cause me some anxiety and old fears to resurface and attempt to haunt me.

The old fears or rather the old habits of negative thinking.  During this transition little seeds of doubt have been trying to show their face and make me scared.  So I am writing, because I move energy through words, and I need to move this energy.

Sometimes my mind/the mind defaults to negative thinking...perhaps because of past circumstances that we have experienced and labeled as "disappointing" or as "negative", but the truth is that at any point in our lives, we can turn the switch, and reprogram our default settings on our mind.  What we have viewed as disappointment in the past has been necessary to bring us right to where we are right now.  However we don't need to visualize or expect feelings of being unfulfilled.  We are always fulfilled.  God is always working through us.  We have God on our side during these transitions because God wants us to leave where we are at to get to where God needs us to be.

So in this way, transitions are often a journey of Faith.  Transitions call for the highest amount of Faith possible.   It calls for us to look the past, all the supposed disappointments and fears RIGHT in the FACE and kiss them and say goodbye, and hold on to God's hand and know you are going where you need to go.

I feel much better now.  Thank you for receiving this.

Quote of the Day: On Love

"The love of God, unutterable and perfect, flows into a pure soul the way that light rushes into a transparent object. The more love that it finds, the more it gives itself; so that, as we grow clear and open, the more complete the joy of heaven is. And the more souls that resonate together, the greater the intensity of their love, and mirror-like, each soul reflects the other." - Dante

Today I am thankful for my spiritual family and friends whom I always am connecting to and mirroring.  Thank you for showing me myself.

Fem-powering Yourself Through WOMENstruation

I am surprised that I have not written about Womenstruation earlier in this blog, but I suppose better late than never.

I cannot help but notice the amount of negative thoughts and press Womenstruation receives.  Tampon and Birth Control commercials would have you to think that having your period is more of an inconvenience than all the other things women do daily to make themselves more acceptable in society - wearing high heals, wearing cosmetics, applying chemicals onto our bare scalps to make our hair appear a certain color or texture, and that is only the beginning.  However if you were an alien from outer space, it would seems that the WORST thing about being a womb-man is having your period.

There are numbers of drugs that help you to get your period less frequently, and also to relieve you from the pain of womenstruation.  However I wanted to write wholistically about how to embrace your womenstruation and make it a spiritual process rather than a week of sadness.
1) Eliminate dairy and animal protein from your diet.  These foods cause mucus in your internal cavities - ie  your uterus, ovaries, and sinuses.  Eliminating the mucus from your body will help to make your Womenstruation less painful and less time in length.  Dairy also blocks your body from absorbing magnesium, a magnesium deficiency adds to nervousness and tension.
2) Teas that Help: Chamomile, Ginger, and Red Raspberry Leaf.  Chamomile will naturally help your body to relax and will therefore help any cramps or uterus contractions that are causing pain.  Ginger aids in circulation in the body and also helps to relieve cramps.  Red Raspberry Leaf helps to tone and cleanse the uterus.
3)Visualize your feminine organs daily.  Can you send love and appreciate to them and begin to connect with them?
4)View your period as a cleansing in your reproductive system to flush out any toxins or negative thoughts about womanhood from your body.

Womenstruation is NOT supposed to be painful, it is NOT supposed to make us angry.  This is a special time of the month that reminds us of the powerful ability that we as womb-men have to bare human beings and be mothers.  Whether you want to be a mother or not, this is a powerful part of being womb-man and it should be honored and respected!

New Moon in Scorpio 11/16 @ 2:13pm EST

Another moon cycle completed, Another moon cycle just began
Today the New Moon occurred in the sign of Scorpio at 2:13pm EST, so you may have felt a shift in your energy or in your physical body.  Today the Sun and the Moon are both in the sign of Scorpio.  One astrologer, Robert Hand said:

"Rather than deny the physical universe in order to transcend it, Scorpio will immerse itself in physicality and even drown in it in order to go beyond it."

That is the complexity of the energy of Scorpio.  Scorpio is a fixed and water sign.  It values growth and transformation for deeper understanding.  The energy of Scorpio is that it allows itself to go through intense situations and moments in order to overstand and to transform.  Today you may be feeling that energy.  You may be experiencing emotions at a high intensity or you may be hearing your intuition very clearly.  Scorpio is the emotionally intense and it is psychically deep.  Honor your pyschic abilities today....do what you need to do in order to transform into what you know you need to be.

New Moon Horoscopes
Scorpio: Dear Scorpio, Happy Birthday!  The present time may seem like a time of limbo, and one in which you are ready to call into the existence the next thing.  Remember Dear Scorpio how intuitive you are, you can have anything you want in this world, and everything that happens is here to simply teach.
Sagittarius: What are you keeping a secret from yourself?  Confront it and keep going.  Deal with things as they come along, but don't foresee them.  Keep following your instinct.
Capricorn:  This is the time that you might be craving truly deep connections with friends.  While you may think that its easier to meet new friends, try to get to know your existing friends a little bit better, you may be surprised at what they reveal.
Aquarius: What do you desire to do for work?  Why is it that you are not expressing it?  Think about that this week and allow yourself to begin taking the steps towards your ideal career.   You are here to do more than just take home a paycheck.
Pisces: You may be more open to learning and listening to your intuition right now.  While you have always had visions and spiritual connection, you may be feeling it more intensely now, let it affect you and your conversations.  It is okay to show this part of you and to let it guide in in your education or pursuit or such.
Aries: Are you ready for change?  Something has to be put to rest in order for you to learn a very good lesson and enjoy life to the fullest.  Remember that endings are always a beginning.
Taurus: Get ready to receive a lot of attention.  People want to hang out with you, date you, and work in partnership with you.  You are best served by relationships and friendships right now that are honoring a psychic connection.  Listen and you will know which relationships are giving.
Gemini: This is a great time for you to reflect on your current health.  How do you feel upon waking up each morning?  How do you want to feel?  This week try to set some habits that are going to contribute to you feeling the way you want to and looking the way you want to.
Cancer: It is time for you to unveil your creativity to yourself and immerse  yourself in it.  Perhaps the creative process seems a bit like a chore as of lately, it may be because you are ready to dig into a deeper layer of your creativity.  If you are an actress, perhaps try writing a script for yourself rather than waiting for one to be written for you!
Leo:  You desire to transform your home into a place where emotions are honored and feelings are safe.  Your body is the first home that you have, can you make time to honor your emotions daily and feel them without any judgement.  While doing that, you will create a strong vibration in your home to attract just what you want.
Virgo: You may find yourself feeling very connected with your community, your neighbors, or your siblings.  That connection which you are feeling is a message from the Universe to continue to connect through your surroundings and get involved.  This is a great time to become involved in a community project or with helping out your brother or sister.  You have so much to offer.
Libra:You may be spending a lot of money lately, it is coming and going, and you may feel bit unstable.  Remember that money is currency and it comes and goes.  If you want more income use your creative talents - become confident in your paintings, fashion design skills, jewelry making hobbies and use it as a source of income.

Spotlight on: The Liver

One of my favorite body parts, although I love each part equally is The Liver.  The Liver is the organ located within our mid right section of our core.  The liver is the largest gland in the body.

What does the liver do?
The Liver is on of the main detoxing organs in our body.  The liver is constantly at work, some of its roles are:
*Creating and Secreting Bile (Bile aids in digesting food and transporting fat and excess waste to the large intestine.
*Eliminating Bilirubin
*Metabolizing Fats
*Manufacturing Proteins
*Stores Iron and Nutrients

In this way the liver is very essential to the digestive system and the circulatory system.  The liver does not only filter out things that we ingest into our body through our mouth, but it also helps to detox any things that we may apply to our skin or absorb through our skin that has substance that cannot be tolerated by the body.

Ways to Care for Your Liver:
*Drink lots of clean water
*Be Mindful of your Intake of Vitamin A
*Be Mindful/Eliminate Alcohol Consumption
*Stretching the sides of your body and doing gentle twists in the core of the body
*Wearing Yellow or Visualizing the Color Yellow

Herbs for Healthy Liver:
*Milk Thistle Seed
*Licorice
*Dandelion

Check out Etsy.com

A couple of years ago a friend of mine mentioned a website called Etsy.com to me and explained that it was a website of all handmade items by people.  At first it didn't seem appealing to me, but I have to admit it has grown on me,  partially because I have also listed my items on their website - www.soulistichealing.etsy.com

Here is a list of some of the reasons I am FEELING  Etsy.com
1) Knowing that each item is made by a person from their own hands
2) Many one-of-a-kind items! Knowing that no one else will be wearing the same exact thing as me (or at least fewer people)
3)Knowing I am supporting small businesses and people manifesting their soul's dreams!
4) It is easy to become an Etsy seller and sell your own creations as well!

Here are a few beautiful items that caught my eye recently:

Check out Etsy.com - this is just a taste of what you will see!!

The Memory of the Heart

When asked where our memory is located, my first thought is to say the mind.  Because in at I have memorized plenty of information for tests, directions and other day to day tasks through what I have trusted is the mind.

But then there are memories or feelings that we memorize that are beyond just habitual pattern that the mind is creating.  Our hearts memorize and have a complex memory system.  Isn't interested that sometimes when you know something very well, we say, "I know that song [or whatever the it is that you know] by heart."

In fact I believe that the whole body stores information and memories.  But today, with the Moon in the sign of Leo, which rules our heart area, I wanted to give particular attention to the heart.  I recently heard a story about a young girl who needed a heart transplant, and received the heart of a young boy who had passed away.  Upon meeting the heart donor's parents, she ran up to them and said "Mommy! Daddy! I have missed you so much".  Note - she had never "met" the parents of the young boy or seen them.  After hearing this story, I became quite interested to see what other experiences heart transplant recipients were experiencing, and I read many more accounts that were similar to this.  The heart of the donor highly influences the recipient and the recipient begins to take on certain qualities and traits that were perhaps dominant in the donor.

Our hearts are precious.  Our feelings are precious.
How can you honor your heart memory?
I think a great exercise is one in which you practice speaking from your heart.  And then speak from your mind.  Do you notice a difference in your tone of voice?  Do you notice a difference in what comes out?

Yoga often encourages us to let our head bow to our heart.  Today let your heart lead you, and trust your heart.  Be gentle and take care of your heart.
